Mind and Body
Yoga Beginner to Intermediate - Learn the ancient form of movement promoting balance, flexibility, strength and relaxation through various postures and breathing techniques. All levels are welcome and accommodated. 55 minutes to 1.5 hours
Intermediate to Advanced Yoga - This is a flow style yoga with continued movement from one posture to the next. 1.5 hours
Power Yoga Intermediate to Advanced - Similar to Vinyasa, but with slower controlled movements and longer held strengthening postures. 1.5 hours
Pilates - This exercise technique tones and lengthens muscles, increases abdominal and back strength, improves posture and body mechanics, reduces stress and promotes flexibility. Some Pilates classes held in Group Exercise Room. 55 Minutes
Lunchtime Classes
Gentle Yoga - A modification of traditional yoga where the participant does not have to sit or lie on the floor. Chairs are used to assist with stretches, poses and balance work. This class is great for those that have limitations getting up and down from the floor but want the benefits of a traditional Yoga class. 55 minutes
Core and Stretch - A great “no sweat” class that loosens up those tight muscles and strengthens that core to refresh you for the rest of the workday! 55 minutes
1/2 Cardio - 1/2 Muscle Blast (MB) - Just like it sounds, in this class you enjoy 20 minutes of a cardiovascular workout utilizing aerobics or Zumba and 20 minutes of muscle blast! Open to all levels. 40 minutes
Get Fit Stay Fit Challenge 2010 Feb. 8 - May 5 This ten-week challenge is designed to help JCC members take control of their health and change their lifestyle. In the Get Fit Stay Fit Challenge, participants will be asked to do a pre-and post-fitness test and work out three days a week for ten weeks. There will also be exercise and nutrition-related classes that will help members learn the proper way to start and maintain an effective exercise lifetime program. Monthly prizes are awarded to those who meet the goal of exercising three times per week.
Group Exercise
Spin - This class uses a specialized stationary bike in a group setting. The focus is to improve strength and aerobic endurance while burning lots of calories. 55 minutes
Zumba - The newest rage! Mix up your workout with this fun Latin dance style aerobics class! 55 minutes
Hip Hop -Catch the beat with this fun cardio workout. Groove to some new moves while burning lots of calories. 55 minutes
Muscle Blast (MB) - This is a total body lifting experience that improves muscular endurance, tone and definition. Weighted plates and bars are used along with hand weights, bands and stability balls. 55-75 minutes Step This class allows you to combine the three elements, cardio, strength exercise and flexibility. 55 minutes
Intro to Boxing - Come test your level and step in the ring. Work out using gloves, bags and weights. 55 minutes

Silver Sneakers - These classes are specifically designed for older adults who want to improve their strength, cardiovascular fitness, balance and flexibility in a fun and welcoming environment. 45minutes
Gym Walking Hours - 6:45a–8:15a and 11:30a –12:30p M-F you can walk around the perimeter of the gym! (9 laps =1/2 a mile) During inclement weather the gym will not be available for walking.
Personal Training
Those who wish to be matched up with a personal trainer can contact the fitness director or speak with any trainer to find a good fit to match with their goals and interests. All sessions are one hour long and expire 4 months after the date of purchase. Sessions scheduled ahead of time with trainer.

Teen Weight Lifting
Description: Open to teenager’s age 12-15 years of age.Join one of our personal trainers to learn the ropes of the fitness center. During each session teens will be put through a workout designed to challenge their fitness level as well as teach them proper weight lifting techniques. Please call ahead to schedule sessions.
Teenagers 12-15 who have completed all 5 Teen Weight Lifting sessions may work out in the fitness center without an adult present. 12 year olds that have not taken Teen Weight Lifting are welcome in The Fit Zone, The Zone, gym or pool if they have completed a swimming test. Teenagers 13-15 who have not taken Teen Weight Lifting must have an adult with them at all times in the fitness center. Teenagers 16 years and older may workout without an adult present and without having taken Teen Weight Lifting.

Pink Ribbon Program
Join MaryBeth Chandler, Breast Cancer Post-Rehab Exercise Specialist, for the Pink Ribbon Program which will allow women recovering from Breast Cancer to regain strength after surgery. The Pink Ribbon Program will teach you how to stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back and abdominal muscles and regain range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer surgery. Positively Pink
Positively Pink is an eight-week program that meets twice per week designed to create a positive, energetic healthy environment in which breast cancer survivors can become stronger and less fatigued. Through a specially tailored exercise curriculum the participants will share in a program which includes aerobic exercise, stretching and strength building. In addition, health education lectures will be given on such topics as exercise, nutrition, yoga, cancer treatment and self-esteem. Classes will last 90 minutes and include 30 minutes of education and 60 minutes of exercise. Classes will be taught by certified personal trainers and Certified Cancer Exercise Specialists. In addition, the educational and nutritional components will be taught by specialists in their respective fields. The program will run for 5, 8-week sessions per year and accepts 15 participants per session.
