Our mission is to provide challenging, educational and a fun camp experience
for children in our community. Based on Jewish values, our camp will offer
opportunity for personal growth, increased self-esteem and friendship building.

Our Commitment to Jewish Life:
The JCC Summer Camp will incorporate within its everyday program
learning and experiencing various aspects of Jewish life. This includes:
• learning some Hebrew vocabulary and using it
• experiencing the cycle of Jewish holidays through “celebrating” the
various Jewish holidays in the summer
• learning about life in Israel; different ethnic groups, food, places, and
music
• studying and practicing Jewish values such as visiting the sick and
concern for the environment
A cornerstone of the Simon Family JCC’s Israel content, the Shlichim
program that brings young adults from Israel to strengthen ties between
our two Jewish communities. The program is funded by the Simon
Family JCC as an expression of our community’s continuing
commitment to fostering an appreciation for and a connection to
global Jewish peoplehood. The Shlichim program helps Israel come
alive for the campers who have the opportunity to learn about the
Jewish homeland firsthand from the counselors. The Shlichim allow us
to bring Israeli culture and society into the camp programs.
